Music Day Run

Do you listen to music when running?

While many runners prefer to run without music so they can focus on breathing and foot strikes, more and more are using headphones to drown out the distractions in their heads to push them through a run.

21 June is World Music Day! Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.

On Music Day the citizens of a city or country are allowed and urged to play music outside in their neighbourhoods or in public spaces and parks. Free concerts are also organised, where musicians play for fun and not for payment.
