As we head into Christmas next week, people across the country are loosening their belts in preparation for the holiday season. Christmas parties, travelling, or simply more sleeps and more snack on the couch!
But, there's no reason you have to gain weight just because of the time of year. Continue to train!
People who ran more tend to be leaner – and not just because they were burning off the calories they ate.
A box of Oreos has about as many calories as are burned in a marathon and more people are prone to eat a box of cookies than run a marathon, especially this month!
Join Christmas Holiday Run and you can be a little less concerned than other people about what you eat on Christmas :)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Santa Claus's reindeer pull a sleigh through the night sky to help Santa Claus deliver gifts to children on Christmas Eve. The commonly cited names of the eight reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen.
And so who is Rudolph? Rudolph's glowing red nose made him a social outcast among the other reindeer. Santa Claus's worldwide flight one year was imperiled by severe fog. Visiting Rudolph's house to deliver his presents, Santa observed Rudolph's glowing red nose in the darkened bedroom and decided to use him as a makeshift lamp to guide his sleigh. Rudolph accepted Santa's request to lead the sleigh for the rest of the night, and he returned home a hero for having helped Santa Claus.
There's a very real possibility, however, that the world's reindeer population could disappear. Only some reindeer populations, also known as caribou, are especially at risk.
